2. Data Collection & Processing

Sanskrit Guru is designed to operate primarily as an offline learning tool.

  • Personal Data: We do NOT collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, or physical locations.
  • Progress Storage: Your lesson progress, quiz scores, earned badges, and daily streaks are saved locally on your own device using `AsyncStorage`. This data never leaves your device.
  • Device TTS Engine: The pronunciation recitations utilize your system's built-in offline Text-to-Speech (TTS) engine (`expo-speech`). No voice or speech audio recordings are collected or sent to the cloud.

3. Third-Party Services (Google AdMob)

The App integrates Google AdMob, an advertisement service provided by Google LLC, to serve banners and occasional interstitial ads.

AdMob may collect and process anonymous device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID) to serve non-personalized or personalized ads depending on your preferences. To learn more about how Google processes your data, please read the Google Privacy Policy.

Opting Out: Users can disable ads completely by upgrading to the "Premium Sadhak" status inside the App's Profile settings.

4. Data Security

Since your progress data is stored entirely on your device, the security of your data depends on your device's security. Clearing the App's local storage or uninstalling the App will permanently reset your streak and learning history.

5. Children's Privacy

Sanskrit Guru is an educational app designed for all audiences, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
